Position Overview

Skyworks Solutions Technology and Manufacturing Group (TMG) is in search of a dedicated and experienced senior engineering manager. In this role, you will oversee a team of proficient engineers tasked with designing cutting-edge test solutions for Skyworks' advanced analog, RF, and mixed-signal products. This team employs both system and circuit-level engineering to develop high-performance ATE solutions that effectively balance a diverse array of potentially conflicting performance criteria. These solutions, combined with industry-leading test platforms and optimized test program software, facilitate the shipment of over 20 million components daily, catering to global high-speed wireless data consumers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership to a diverse and talented engineering team.
  2. Conduct system and circuit-level simulations to assess solution performance capabilities.
  3. Drive continuous enhancements in ATE measurement capabilities and precision.
  4. Support feasibility assessments for new testing requests.
  5. Promote ongoing improvements in high-performance ATE hardware to meet customer specifications.
  6. Enhance system and circuit-level design and simulation methodologies.
  7. Negotiate performance trade-offs in ATE solutions to deliver the best overall outcomes for comprehensive testing requirements.
  8. Offer guidance on hardware floor planning and layout best practices.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, with 15+ years of experience in product development, technology advancement, and/or high-volume production assembly and test engineering (MS with 12 years or PhD with 8 years also acceptable).
  2. Proven track record of establishing strong cross-functional relationships that effectively support the responsibilities outlined above, often requiring collaboration with key contributors outside the primary reporting structure.
  3. Experience in RF, analog, or mixed-signal design.
  4. Familiarity with RF, analog, or mixed-signal system analysis techniques to inform detailed design processes.
  5. Proficiency in RF design software such as Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) and/or Ansys HFSS.
  6. Knowledge of measurement equipment for RF, digital, and mixed-signal performance.
  7. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  8. Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  9. Strong time management abilities to ensure timely project completion.
  10. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
  11. Proactive approach with a focus on achieving results.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $136,800 - $271,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
