Emergency Department Nurse

Starr Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive work environment.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to work in our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and excellent communication skills. As a PRN RN, you will work on an as-needed basis to provide patient care and support to our team.
Responsibilities:- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Establish a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
- Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Document patient care given.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Associates degree in Nursing: Preferred
- Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing: Required
- Required Licenses: Current RN License in the State of TN or another compact state
- Required Skills: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
