Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and effective communication.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections.
  • Provide wound care to improve skin integrity and promote patient well-being.
  • Document patient progress and communicate with family members regarding new orders, changes in condition, or routine check-ins.
  • Participate in center surveys and contribute to the development of nursing services for resident discharge plans.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary and maintain accurate electronic records using Point Click Care.
  • Receive telephone orders from physicians and ensure the proper handling of narcotics in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Participate in associate performance evaluations and make recommendations to the Nurse Supervisor.
  • Develop work assignments and prioritize tasks to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Make daily rounds to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Administer professional services such as catheterizations, tube feedings, suction, and applying/dressing changes.
  • Attend in-service programs and maintain professional competence through continuing education.
Requirements
  • Current and valid RN license is required.
