Urology Technician

About the Role

The Urology Technician at Mayo Clinic provides critical support to our urology team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. This role involves providing urinary catheterizations, ultrasonic bladder scanning, and reinforcement of home-going education related to self-catheterization or urinary drainage tube irrigations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls in the inpatient and ambulatory setting at both the St. Marys campus and downtown/Methodist campus.
• Provide technical support to urology team members, including urinary catheterizations and ultrasonic bladder scanning.
• Develop and implement educational programs to promote patient understanding and self-management of urological conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.

Requirements

• Hospital medical background preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position with a day shift (6a-2p) and night shift (10p-6a) schedule, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
