Electrical Engineer II Job Description

The University of Central Florida is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer II to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for our facilities. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience with electrical systems design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for our facilities, including electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, and electrical power systems.
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical specifications.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technical staff to ensure that electrical systems are designed and implemented in accordance with University of Central Florida standards and regulations.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect electrical systems and ensure that they are functioning properly.
  • Develop and implement electrical system testing and commissioning procedures to ensure that electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Develop and implement electrical system maintenance and repair procedures to ensure that electrical systems are functioning properly.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including experience with electrical systems design and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience with electrical systems design and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with electrical system design software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Experience with electrical system testing and commissioning procedures.
