The Role

The Arodo Mechanic/Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining and operating the Arodo packaging line and palletizer equipment. This is a senior level operator role with strong growth opportunities within the operations team.

  • Responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining and operating the Arodo packaging line and palletizers
  • Maintain high-efficiency operations and monitor plant manufacturing controls, gauges, and instruments
  • Responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment
  • Document and create work orders for repair in the maintenance information system
  • Responsible for managing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and updating assigned work orders
  • Responsible for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
  • Maintain correct weight and quality of the bags produced
  • Perform Durometer tests on bags for hardness and vacuum
  • Complete paperwork and reports as needed; downtime log, used parts log, shift log book
  • Assist in training new operators
  • Perform other duties as required

Hourly pay starting at $24.00 p/hr (commensurate with experience) plus premium shift differentials; $1.00 p/hr for 2nd and $2.00 for 3rd shift.

Qualifications

  • To be successful in this role, you should be willing to get your hands dirty a bit
  • Must have a minimum of a high school degree or GED equivalent
  • 3 or more years of process manufacturing experience operating machinery
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment is helpful
  • Have the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • You must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be available for overtime as needed and able to accommodate the designated shift hours as assigned in the offer: 1st shift (days), 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 am or a 3rd shift (10:00 pm to 6:30 am
