Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at JOSEPH P. ADDABBO FAMILY HEALTH CENTER, INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounts reconciliations, variance analysis, and assisting in audit and budget preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts, collaborating with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely entries.
  • Ensure daily banking transactions are posted accurately and timely.
  • Perform duties related to filing yearly 1099 tax forms, ensuring vendors are updated and current.
  • Prepare the monthly Patient Service Revenue journal entry, reconciling and analyzing all facets of the entry as they relate to the monthly and yearly close.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure monthly payroll entries are correct and ready for upload in the accounting system.
  • Deliver annual external audit assignments with accuracy, meeting auditors' and management's timeline and deadlines.
  • Manage Fixed Assets.
  • Work with outside consultants to complete required FQHC reports.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Accounts Payable system.
  • Understand Accounts Receivables source documents and access information.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Bank of America remote deposit system.
  • Understand and have a working knowledge of the payroll system.
  • Work with CFO/Controller to develop monthly reports for meaningful decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or business-related field.
  • At least 5-7 years' experience in direct accounting practice, preferably in healthcare or not-for-profit.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, Reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and analyze complex spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Peachtree Accounting Software and QuickBooks.
