Extrusion Technical Specialist

Responsibilities:
* Monitor regrind usage and returns, verifying blenders are set properly and adjusted as needed.
* Manage surge bins, keeping them full if regrind inventory allows.
* Report food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
* Complete color changes on all three lines from start to finish.
* Assist maintenance with troubleshooting tasks and minor repairs.
* Fill in for line operator vacancies or breaks as needed.
* Assist in PM's as needed.
* Assist in mold and line changeovers as needed.
* Complete assigned Find and Fix it tasks as needed.
* Assist in the HDPE New Hire training program.
Requirements:
* Team-oriented individual with self-motivation and flexibility in job assignments.
* Blend of technical, interpersonal skills, and continuous learning through training.
* Previous experience in Plastics Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, or a similar technical area preferred.
* High school diploma or GED.
* Ability to read SPC charts and document trends.
* Willingness to work overtime as necessary, based on production needs/demands.
* Ability to walk intermittently and long distances, up to 8 hours per day.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
* Ability to visually examine minute defects in parts and product.
* Ability to work on aerial platforms up to 20 ft.
