Job Summary

As a Trainmaster at Canadian Pacific Kansas City, you will be responsible for leading the safe and efficient movement of trains within our 20,000-mile network. This role requires strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of daily yard-terminal/road operating plans
  • Supervise operating crews, yardmasters, and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage rail car inventory and optimize yard/road productivity
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous railway experience as a conductor or engineer
  • Valid driver's license
  • Operational knowledge of local service operating plans and yard management practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain rules-qualified qualifications
