Laboratory Microbiologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Microbiologist to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. in North Carolina.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and performing standard laboratory procedures, including chemical, microscopic, bacteriological, immunological, hematological, and coagulation studies. They will operate equipment to make qualitative and quantitative analyses of specimens, recognizing abnormal trends or results and making required decisions and corrections.

Main Responsibilities:

• Completes daily procedures and ensures equipment is maintained in good working order.">
• Cleans, stocks, and organizes the work area daily.">
• Performs manual calculations and documents results accurately.">
• Analyzes and reports test results, applies rules of specimen rejection, and arranges recollection of specimens as needed.">
• Acts as an in-charge technician when requested.">
• Follows established general safety procedures and utilizes personal protective equipment appropriately.">
• Coordinates work to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency in performance of assigned tasks.">
• Ensures accurate patient billing for testing performed.">

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, ASCP certification, prior lab experience, and knowledge of microbiology.

Benefits:

This full-time position offers opportunities for growth, a comprehensive benefits package, and a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location:

The role is based in North Carolina, south of Mooresville.
