Lead Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Banner University Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Advanced Practice Provider (ACNP or PA) to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of APPs to ensure the clinical operations are properly implemented and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with APPs, physicians, physician leaders, managers, and other local stakeholders to identify opportunities for practice improvement in clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and provider satisfaction.
  • Assist Cardiothoracic Surgeons in the OR setting in a first assist capacity.
  • Work independently in the hospital to maintain patient flow efficiency.
  • Rotate OR call, including transplant.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in CT Surgery/OR experience preferred with leadership responsibilities.
  • RNFA or Surgical First Assist experience preferred.
  • Current Board Certification.
  • Current Arizona License.
  • Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
  • Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
