Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician to join our team at Black & Decker. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, and vacuum systems for our machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and vacuum systems for machinery
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
  • Diagnose problems to a component level, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited apprenticeship or education equivalent to a 2-year technical degree in the field of both analog and digital electronics
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience using machine shop equipment such as Bridgeports, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
  • Trained in electrical safe work practices with emphasis on NFPA 70E
