NORTH SUFFOLK COMMUNITY SERVICES INC is seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Professional to join our Facilities team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management and facilities maintenance, with the ability to evaluate project scopes, develop job plans, and complete repair work using the latest technology.
Key Responsibilities- Project Evaluation and Planning: Evaluate the scope of projects and develop job plans for review by the Director of Facilities and Maintenance.
- Materials and Cost Estimation: Determine and report materials, manpower, and cost estimates to complete jobs to the Director.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete all necessary paperwork, including work orders, purchase orders, and sales receipts, with proper job notation.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: File equipment damage and loss reports, and accident reports in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Return all unused stock and materials and equipment to the facilities maintenance department.
- Repair and Maintenance: Complete repair work using the latest technology, following local and state regulation codes and requirements.
- Emergency Response: Carry the on-call emergency beeper and dispatch appropriate vendors to the emergency according to procedure, with follow-through by phone until the emergency is resolved.
- Education: Minimum of High School degree or GED equivalent, with trade school attendance or Certificate preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years experience in property management and facilities maintenance.
- Skills: Knowledge of basic construction and maintenance procedures and practices, including material properties and applications, basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, as well as knowledge of spill cleanup procedures, first-aid, and CPR.
- Paid Time Off: Two weeks' Vacation per year (three weeks after 1 year of service), 12 Sick Days per year, and 11 Paid Holidays per year.
