About the Role

We are seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to support Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in a high-pressure environment with unique challenges and demands. As a Military and Family Life Counselor, you will provide crucial mental health support to service members and their families, offering counseling, consultation, and outreach. This role involves face-to-face counseling, coaching, and support for military service members, military families, and military leadership at military-connect events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergent situations in various physical locations on a military installation
  • Traverse long distances to both indoor and outdoor locations, including rugged, outdoor, or uneven locations
  • Travel to locations outside of a military base in a variety of physical environments

Work Environment

At the direction of the Department of Defense, duties are performed in multiple indoor locations (approximately 60%) and outdoor locations (approximately 40%) within a military installation. The outdoor locations frequently involve traversing over uneven grassy, gravel, and/or dirt areas, ascending/descending stairs, and exposure to the weather.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
  • A valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (Licensed Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Counselor, Psychologist)
  • US Citizenship per government contract
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a Secret Level of Clearance

Compensation

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The pay range is $55, $99,875.00.
