Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Paramedic/ER Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide proficient care, maintain patient comfort and dignity, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide emergency patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse and Paramedic.
- Engage in positive working relationships with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and customer service assistance.
- Accurately and efficiently conduct orders from physicians, including starting lines, performing EKGs, and drawing blood.
- Recognize emergencies and provide necessary intervention, identifying opportunities for immediate attention.
- Show initiative and self-direction in providing patient care and support to co-workers.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical facilities to make decisions about patient care.
- Lead and direct co-workers and other staff members.
- Address patient concerns and explain procedures in an informative and reassuring manner.
- Process patient data into the computer, including patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, and orientation.
- Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
- Cooperate with facility healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies and procedures.
- Greet patients and guests with a warm and welcoming manner.
- Exercise problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when managing patient concerns.
- Follow workflow assignments and implement changes with flexibility.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with HHER policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
- Prepare diligent notes with complete details within information systems.
- Display integrity and honesty.
- 2 years of experience working in an ER environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in high-stress situations.
- Minimum certification: EMT-P.
- Pay is commensurate with experience.
- Night shift differential.
