Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic/ER Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide proficient care, maintain patient comfort and dignity, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide emergency patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse and Paramedic.
  2. Engage in positive working relationships with patients, visitors, and staff.
  3. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and customer service assistance.
  4. Accurately and efficiently conduct orders from physicians, including starting lines, performing EKGs, and drawing blood.
  5. Recognize emergencies and provide necessary intervention, identifying opportunities for immediate attention.
  6. Show initiative and self-direction in providing patient care and support to co-workers.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  8. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical facilities to make decisions about patient care.
  9. Lead and direct co-workers and other staff members.
  10. Address patient concerns and explain procedures in an informative and reassuring manner.
  11. Process patient data into the computer, including patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, and orientation.
  12. Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
  13. Cooperate with facility healthcare personnel and comply with facility policies and procedures.
  14. Greet patients and guests with a warm and welcoming manner.
  15. Exercise problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when managing patient concerns.
  16. Follow workflow assignments and implement changes with flexibility.
  17. Adhere to and ensure compliance with HHER policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
  18. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  19. Prepare diligent notes with complete details within information systems.
  20. Display integrity and honesty.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience working in an ER environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in high-stress situations.
  • Minimum certification: EMT-P.
