With over 40 years of experience, the Orthopedic Institute has been a cornerstone of orthopedic care in the region, serving South Dakota, Western Minnesota, and Western Iowa. Our legacy is built on strong partnerships and a shared commitment to exceptional care. Recently, we have expanded our team with additional physicians to enhance our independent practice, focusing exclusively on delivering outstanding orthopedic services.
Our team comprises 22 physicians, one physiatrist, 20 physician assistants/nurse practitioners, and over 230 staff members, with multiple locations to serve our community.
Typical clinic hours are from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays. This position entails a 40-hour work week, with shifts lasting 8 hours each day and occasional Saturday duties.
The Primary Nurse will collaborate closely with the assigned physician, managing the daily operations of the clinic. Responsibilities include:
- Rooming patients

Qualifications:
- Experience in orthopedic nursing is essential.
- Valid South Dakota/Compact State LPN or RN license.
- Minnesota LPN or RN nursing license required (must be obtained immediately upon hire if not currently held).
- Current CPR certification.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, clinic staff, and physicians.
