Job Summary

AIS is seeking a skilled Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide assessment, consultation, and intervention services to UCOR employees. Your expertise will help us create a safe and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, consultation, and brief intervention services to employees.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to implement educational programs and promote employee well-being.
  • Provide behavioral health and mental health consultation, counseling, and case management services to employees.
  • Assist in securing referrals for additional support or treatment as necessary.
  • Interface with the workforce, management, and other stakeholders to promote a positive work environment.
  • Assist with program success, future development, and workforce engagement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in mental health and substance abuse.
  • Ensure confidentiality, accurate documentation, and record keeping in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited program.
  • Unencumbered license in the state of Tennessee as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • Experience with risk assessment in an outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with brief interventions or willingness to learn and implement.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, including problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Take initiative on issues that arise and communicate with appropriate staff as needed.

Desired Qualifications
  • 2-3 years' experience in mental health and/or substance abuse counseling.

Physical Demands
  • Requires sitting for long periods, working at a desk.
  • Some bending and stretching may be required.
  • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
  • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
