Exercise Specialist

About the Position: This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in exercise science, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fitness assessments to determine client fitness levels and goals.
- Develop exercise programs tailored to individual needs and abilities.
- Provide guidance on proper use of equipment and promote a safe workout environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and provide regular feedback.
Requirements:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Adult Fitness, or related field AND/OR certification from an accredited agency for Personal Training or Exercise Specialist as Recognized by Medical Fitness Association and NCCA required.
- Minimum Years of Experience: None.
- License, Registry or Certification: CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (or must be completed within 60 days of hire).
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in a fitness facility, including basic fitness testing and exercise prescription.
