  • Represent indigent clients in all phases of criminal proceedings, including arraignment, pretrial hearings, trial preparation, plea negotiations, trial, and sentencing.
  • Conduct extensive courtroom and trial representation, including jury trials and bench trials.
  • Develop and implement effective defense strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, investigators, and support staff to ensure seamless case management and effective representation.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and court procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university.
  • License to practice law in the State of Georgia or eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination followed by Georgia Bar exam passage and licensure to practice law in the State of Georgia within one (1) year of hiring.
  • Two years of relevant legal experience or two years of experience required at the lower-level Attorney 2.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Felony trial experience.
  • Membership in good standing with the State of Georgia Bar.
