Nursing Unit Supervisor

About the Company: Abington Manor, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to assume a leadership role in our nursing team.
Job Summary: As a Unit Manager Registered Nurse (RN), you will oversee the care, systems, and processes that deliver exceptional resident care. If you are a compassionate and enthusiastic RN with leadership experience in long-term care, this opportunity may be perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing care provided by nursing assistants, licensed vocational/practical nurses, and others.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, recommend hires, and train employees.
- Plan, assign, and direct work.
- Promote and protect residents' rights; assist residents to make informed decisions; treat residents with dignity and respect.
Requirements:
- Must possess valid unencumbered RN state license.
- BSN preferred.
- Two years of experience preferred as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
- Must have at least six months experience in rehab and restorative nursing practices.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical/drug screen.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year based on location and experience.
