Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at Texas Health HEB, a 322-bed acute-care hospital serving the community since 1973. We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit, where you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the Role:
  • Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process, assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information, maintaining continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
  • Work in a 9-bed L&D unit and 4-bed OB ED, with an average of 200 deliveries a month, and have the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients and plan of care.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
  • ACLS - within 90 days of hire.
  • NRP - within 90 days of hire.
  • NRPA - within 90 days of hire.
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire.
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • 1 year of RN experience in L&D strongly preferred.
