Dietary Host/Hostess

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietary Host/Hostess to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our nutrition center team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of service.

• Provide meal service to patients, including obtaining menu selections and delivering meals in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient trays, ensuring that all meals are prepared and presented to the highest standard.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure that all needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
• Follow patient safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe environment in the nutrition center.
• Collaborate with other clinical staff and co-workers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

• Valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from Marian County Health Department (MCHD) prior to starting.
• Ability to stand for most of the working day and push fully loaded tray carts (approx. 250 lbs.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word.
