Job SummaryWe are seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to join our team in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes. As a Private Duty Nurse with Aveanna, you will have the opportunity to make a positive and lasting impact in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Implementation of Physicians' Orders: You will be responsible for implementing the care plan as prescribed by the patient's physician, ensuring that all necessary treatments and therapies are administered in a timely and effective manner.
- Patient Assessments and Coordination of Care: You will conduct regular assessments of the patient's condition and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure that all necessary care is provided.
- Administration of Medication and Treatments: You will be responsible for administering medication and treatments as prescribed by the patient's physician, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent adverse reactions.
- Documentation and Compliance: You will maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions, treatments, and care provided, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Health Promotion and Education: You will educate patients and their families on disease management, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, promoting healthy outcomes and empowering patients to take control of their care.
- Active LPN/LVN License: You must have an active, unencumbered license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state in which you will be practicing.
- CPR Certification: You must have current CPR certification from a recognized organization, such as the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Reliable Transportation: You must have reliable transportation to travel to patient homes and other locations as needed.
- Home Health Experience: Previous experience in home health care is preferred, but not required.
- Strong Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
