Knauf Insulation is a leading manufacturer of insulation products, and we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Determine if machinery requires maintenance or repairs, and requisition necessary parts and materials.
- Perform scheduled and as-needed preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Communicate maintenance issues with other shifts to ensure continuity of operation.
- Remain current on plant and safety matters, participating in regular department and plant safety meetings.
- Oversee all electrical needs for the facility, including lighting, production equipment, and systems.
- Inspect and test machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Replace defective electrical switches and other fixtures.
- Repair and maintain electrical equipment for the building.
- Install machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other specifications, with regard to electrical requirements.
- Two-year degree in electrical or trade school certifications for basic PLC, controls troubleshooting, arc flash training, national electrical regulations, and high voltage.
- OSHA Certified Industrial Truck Operator License required.
- Minimum of two years of maintenance experience working with a variety of mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
