Twelve Labs is on the lookout for a skilled AI Research Scientist dedicated to enhancing our research initiatives in video representation and retrieval, multimodal language processing, and intelligent agent development. As a pivotal member of our research team, you will work closely with the project lead to identify and implement AI research initiatives in a responsible and proactive manner. Your expertise will play a crucial role in influencing the trajectory of our products and their success in the competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Lead AI research initiatives vital for the progression of Twelve Labs' offerings, focusing on areas such as video representation and retrieval, multimodal language processing, and intelligent agents.
- Collaborate with the project lead to identify and responsibly execute AI research initiatives.
- Engage in discussions to determine effective data collection and annotation strategies for project implementation.
- Maintain open lines of communication and provide constructive feedback among ML team members regarding ongoing research efforts.
- Proactively share insights and feedback on project developments with the project lead and fellow team members.
- Contribute to fostering a collaborative culture that enhances team efficiency and productivity.
- Demonstrated research experience and interest in domains such as Video Understanding, Multimodal Language Processing, Vision + X, Open-domain Question Answering, Generative Models, Video Representation Learning, Action Recognition, or related fields.
- PhD in a relevant discipline, or a Master's degree accompanied by a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
- Proven ability to independently manage and lead research projects.
- Strong sense of responsibility and passion for delivering high-quality work.
- Experience in developing large-scale commercial machine learning products.
- Expertise in large-scale model training and optimization.
- Published research in prestigious AI conferences related to video, Vision + NLP, or multimodal research.
- Notable achievements in international conference challenges, Kaggle competitions, or national AI contests.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
