Job Summary:

The Overnight Task Team Supervisor is responsible for providing daily direction to the Outfitters on the overnight shift within the retail store. This includes sales floor replenishment, merchandise presentation, seasonal resets, inventory management, and price change execution. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and processes, maintain visual presentation standards, and support inventory management in partnership with the Inventory Control team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delegate tasks and work assignments to team members, providing clear and concise direction and follow-up to ensure proper execution.
  • Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures and processes, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain visual presentation standards, including in-store signage, merchandise directives, and planograms.
  • Ensure nightly replenishment of sales floor from backstock inventory, as well as new replenishment from the Distribution Centers and direct vendor deliveries.
  • Support inventory management in partnership with the Inventory Control team, completing on-demand counts, empty peg scanning, pick requests, and display integrities during off-peak business hours.
  • Support the Management team with coordination of special events, pricing and UPC integrity, assortments, inventory accuracy, and display, tagging, signing, and pricing of advertised items.
  • Support the Management team in carrying out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, measuring and evaluating performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Assist the Management team and Human Resources Representative in staffing the department with service-oriented associates, participating in interviewing and making recommendations for selection, coordinating training, and preparing weekly work schedules.
  • Ensure all breaks and lunches are provided for overnight Outfitters in accordance with state and local regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum degree required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Years of experience: 2-4 Retail Years Retail Experience
  • Availability to work overnight shifts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to read and analyze certain reports
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from Managers, Outfitters, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups
  • Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and inventory management systems
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Outfitters, customers, and the Base Camp team

Physical Requirements:
  • Regular computer work, walking, and standing
  • Occasional sitting and lifting up to 50 lbs
Independent Judgment:
  • Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives
  • Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments
  • Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired results
  • Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices
