Job Responsibilities:
The State Inspector is responsible for conducting state-mandated inspections on customer vehicles and communicating any compliance issues to the customer.
This role may also include duties as a Lube Technician and Customer Service Advisor, as directed by management.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:1. Complete all necessary certifications and on-the-job training within the designated timeframe.
2. Perform state-required inspections on vehicles, focusing on safety and emissions standards.
3. Collect and enter customer and maintenance data into the system.
4. Discuss oil options, manufacturer recommendations, and previous services with customers, providing detailed condition reports.
5. Summarize requested services, including pricing, and address any inquiries.
6. Guide customers to the lounge area, explaining the location of amenities such as coffee, water, restrooms, and reading materials.
8. Review invoiced services with customers, process payments, and highlight value-added services while encouraging future visits.
Qualifications:
1. Successfully pass the state-issued background check.
2. Attend state inspection training sessions.
3. Obtain the necessary inspection certification from the state.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and inspection areas.
5. Ensure all tools and equipment are functioning properly.
6. Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
8. Ability to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces and work in varying temperature conditions, including exposure to noise and exhaust.
9. Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
10. Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
11. Must be at least 18 years old.
12. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
