Job Summary

As a Principal Software Engineer at ZF, you will be responsible for leading the development of automotive embedded systems and firmware software. Your expertise in software development and project management will be essential in ensuring project deliveries are on schedule and meeting customer timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for automotive embedded systems and firmware software tasks and release planning and monitoring throughout the entire software lifecycle

Ensure project deliveries are on schedule

Identify risks and develop mitigation plans

Identify resource needs and skills required for the project

Develop resource ramp-up plan to meet customer timelines

Follow a defined software process (ASPICE) to ensure quality software is delivered

Interface with the customer for software deliveries, requirement analysis, and software roll-out planning

Provide regular updates to management on project status

Provide technical direction to the ADAS Camera software development team allocated for the project

Oversee software requirements, architecture and integration work packages and deliveries to the customer

Ensure project expenses are within the project budget allocated for software development

Coordinate internal cross-functional teams and third parties/vendors for execution of projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

5 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive applications, including 3 years of project management experience

Demonstrated experience with: Embedded 'C' language, Requirements Analysis, Static analysis tools (QAC and Polyspace), MISRA, ASPICE software process methods and issue tracking system, Microsoft Project, AGILE methodology for product development, AUTOSAR architecture, and CAN
