We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Analyst to join our team at the Dayton Area School Consortium. As a Behavioral Analyst, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing behavioral intervention methods for students with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement written functional behavior assessments and behavioral intervention methods for students in various settings.
- Assist staff in defining and measuring behavior, understanding principles of reinforcement, teaching new behavior, and implementing strategies for decreasing behavior.
- Participate in child study/school teams, provide feedback on behavioral assessments, interventions, and strategies.
- Provide technical support and in-service training programs for teachers and other staff on applied behavior analysis.
- Consult and provide staff training to support intervention plans at school and in the home and community.
- Conduct classroom and individual student observations to support behavior across all environments.
- Attend and participate in ETR and IEP meetings when appropriate.
- Provide regular services reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with implementation of behavior plans and Individual Education Programs.
- Assist staff with collecting, analyzing, and summarizing behavioral data and recommending appropriate instructional modifications.
- Serve as a liaison between school and other agencies.
- Provide programming supervision and support of BCBA, RBT's, and/or Paraprofessionals.
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning students enrolled in the program, their process, and other personally identifiable information.
- Assume responsibility for professional growth and development by remaining current in the literature and best practices that inform the field.
- Have the ability to physically intervene with students (e.g., lifting, carrying, holding, physically guiding).
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all school personnel.
- Model appropriate dress, language, and conduct as a professional educator.
- Effectively complete other job performance criteria as assigned.
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform all duties in conformity to the adopted Board Policy.
- Display professional appearance.
- Perform in a professional manner.
- In case of absence, notify the principal/director or his/her designee as early as possible.
- Fill out appropriate forms when necessary: sick, personal, professional leave statements, reimbursement forms, etc.
- Attend scheduled meetings called by the administration.
- Serve as a role model for educators and students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible human beings.
- Help instill in students and staff the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values.
- Shall perform such other duties as the principal/director may assign/determine.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the County/District.
- Observes Risk Reduction Safety Rules and Regulations of the Warren County ESC and School Districts, State, Federal, OSHA laws and will be evaluated to the extent of compliance and implementation as an employee of such rules and regulations for safety in the workplace while visiting such sites in line of work duties.
- Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
- Possible operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions.
- Possible interaction among unruly children.
