Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse, Dialysis - Acute Care is a key member of our team at Children's Hospital of Orange County, providing exceptional care to our pediatric patients. As a Dialysis Nurse, you will be responsible for planning and delivering family-centered care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, coordinate, and perform nursing care for inpatients requiring CRRT, hemodialysis, and/or peritoneal dialysis based on established clinical practices.
  • Collaborate with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary professionals to create partnerships that deliver effective and efficient care for mutually desired patient outcomes.
  • Provide patient and family education, and teach/mentor peers on dialysis care.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, audits, and reporting as directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of acute care dialysis nursing experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of care of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients.

Work Environment

This position requires participation in on-call rotation (night, weekend, or as defined by individual program needs). The work environment is fast-paced and requires excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Benefits

Children's Hospital of Orange County offers a competitive compensation package, including a minimum salary of $72.00, midpoint of $74.00, and maximum of $76.00. We also offer excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
