HCSC Field Abstractor

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Record Review Specialist to join our team at w3r Consulting. As a key member of our medical record review team, you will play a critical role in supporting our HEDIS Effectiveness Data and Information Set project.

• Conduct thorough and accurate reviews of medical records in accordance with NCQA guidelines and technical specifications.
• Utilize various software applications to support HEDIS operations, including data entry and changing chase status.
• Maintain compliance with all HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in medical record abstraction and inter-rater reliability process as needed.
• Meet with HEDIS Coordinator and/or QI Specialists to discuss HEDIS efforts and any open issues.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and data entry experience.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
• Customer service skills and auditing experience preferred.
