Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate residents' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing emotional support and comfort.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
- Supervise and mentor nursing assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance resident care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Active license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- Previous experience as a RN in a long term care facility or other related healthcare facility.
- Knowledge of electronic charting and ability to work with electronic medical records.
- Tactful and courteous with residents, families, practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
