Job Opportunity

This internship is designed for students to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, statistical modeling, and communication skills. The focus will be on improving the understanding of strategies executed in and managed by the Capital Markets department. The responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist with identifying sources of volatility in the investment and derivative portfolio.
  • Conduct research and document various risk exposures.
  • Develop analysis and presentations of various strategies.
  • Assist with identifying potential portfolio transactions.
  • Research and summarize current financial topics.
  • Review, analyze, and update various procedures and spreadsheets.
  • Gain an understanding of financial instruments the Bank utilizes.
  • Gain an understanding of the Bank's business, balance sheet, and general strategies.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance or accounting, with a minimum of 12 hours of college coursework or completion of at least the sophomore year of college. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. The candidate should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Bloomberg or other financial data sources is a plus.
