About the Job: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our OB/GYN clinic team at Advocate Aurora Health. This is a 1.0 FTE RN Clinic Float position that will require travel to support multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have prior OB/GYN experience and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities: As a Registered Nurse in our OB/GYN clinic, you will be responsible for providing ongoing care to patients, recognizing and responding to changes in their status, and determining priorities of patient care. You will also communicate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team, document and communicate accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions, and perform laboratory procedures using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions/infection control guidelines.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must possess a Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association, and an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Prior OB/GYN experience is preferred, and you must have excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements: This role requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, climbing, and reaching above shoulders throughout the workday. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
