About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawai'i. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance on facility equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and record readings on plant equipment, reporting any abnormal conditions to management.
  • Respond to trouble calls and make repair calls as required, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, reporting any unsafe acts or conditions promptly.
  • Stay up-to-date with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and follow all necessary precautions.
  • Assist other craftsmen as needed and participate in the On-Call Program to provide emergency services during internal and external disasters.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in mechanical spaces and throughout the hospital.
  • Attend all required In-Service training and ensure all tools, parts, and materials are secure from patients and visitors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional courses or specialized training.
  • Over one year of experience as a maintenance worker and four years as a maintenance helper.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
