Shift: Day, 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum of 18 months required, exceptions based on unit needs

License: Must have or start the licensing process for the required license for start dates 4+ weeks out

Certifications: ACLS and BCLS required

Must-Have:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Level 1 or Level II Trauma Experience
  • Telemetry, IV Start, and Cardiac Drips - Titrate


Job Description:

Call-Ins: If a contracted shift is missed, options include making up the day during the pay period for 0.9 FTEs or adding the day at the end of the contract. 1.2 FTEs will add any missed shifts to the end of their contract.

Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other weekend or as needed based on operational requirements.

Charge Coverage: Unit charge nurse responsibilities may be required depending on operational needs, with training and resources provided.

Floating Requirements: Travelers may need to float within different levels of care, including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU.

Staffing Ratios: 1:3-5 based on acuity.

Unit Information: Post Cardiac and Post Vascular Surgery, strong cardiac/post-op heart experience needed.

Vaccination Requirements: Required flu vaccination with medical or religious exemptions only. COVID-19 vaccine not required, but all travelers are required to comply with facility-specific protocols.

Modules: Average completion time of 6-12 hours, non-billable, completed pre-start through the online learning system.

Orientation: 12 hours provided, non-billable.

Travel Requirements: Floating is required of all travelers. Candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
