We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Rappahannock Area Community Service Board. As a key member of our Crisis Stabilization Program, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to individuals experiencing serious psychiatric or behavioral problems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough intake and follow-up interviews to assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Administer medications, including injections, as prescribed by the staff psychiatrist and nurse practitioner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and education.
- Educate patients, family members, and caregivers about mental health conditions, preventive measures, and treatment plans.
- Document patients' medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and significant experience in psychiatric nursing.
- State Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) licensure.
- Valid VA driver's license.
