About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Furnace Technician to join our team at AMETEK Hughes-Treitler. As a key member of our Vacuum Braze Department, you will be responsible for processing and maintaining the machines used in our heat exchanger manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload furnaces to ensure efficient production
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on furnaces to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct quarterly furnace uniformity surveys to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Assemble Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to track and analyze production metrics
  • Set up and braze cores and cold plates according to established procedures and work instructions
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and converse in English
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand mechanical systems
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of heavy objects. The employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds.

Equipment Used

The successful candidate will be trained on the use of the Abar Ipsen Aluminum Brazer, Abar Ipsen/Sunbeam Aluminum Brazer, and Veeco Helium Leak Detector.

Additional Information

Due to government contracts, the successful candidate must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder.
