Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Train Student Employees: Supervise and train student employees assigned to the area, ensuring they are knowledgeable about portioning, customer service, and food safety procedures.
- Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and pre-portion all food products designated for cooking in accordance with food safety specifications and company recipes. Set up line areas and collect necessary supplies to prepare menu for service.
- Cash Handling and Customer Service: Proficiently utilize a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils, including knives. Process phone orders and assist customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain food service equipment, including cash registers, ice machines, and ice cream machines. Report any equipment and service problems as necessary.
- Sanitation and Safety: Clean food preparation and production areas as assigned. Maintain a safe and sanitary food service environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Replenish product as needed, including ice, ice cream, and other supplies. Report any deficiencies or problems with food or supplies.
- Special Events and Catering: Assist in catering and special functions, preparing food items as necessary. Attend food safety training as scheduled.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience in short order cooking, food service equipment, food handling procedures, and cash handling procedures is required.
- Physical Demands: Moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.; constant standing, bending, and walking; exposure to temperature extremes, slippery surfaces, congested work areas, and potentially dangerous equipment, tools, and machinery.
