Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Nurse to join our team at Med-Trans Corporation. As a Flight Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective patient care during air medical transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient situations to determine the best course of action for safe and effective care.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured patients and support physicians' orders.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintaining regular equipment checks and adhering to safety standards and briefings.
  • Collaborate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting.
  • Current licensure or certification in at least one state (and any applicable states).
  • Current driver's license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications - BCLS, ACLS, PALS.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification provided during orientation.
  • Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) certification within 1 year of hire date.
  • Specialty certification (CFRN) within 2 years of hire date.
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC).
  • Previous air medical transport experience.
  • BSN / MSN.
  • Prior EMS experience.
