Grain Scale Technician

General Overview: Manage scale operations, assess grain quality, and offer additional customer support as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols through regular workspace evaluations, reporting of near misses and unsafe conditions, and effective communication with the location manager regarding safety matters. Abide by all relevant State and Federal Department of Transportation regulations. Comprehend and comply with all policies and procedures set forth by Ray-Carroll Coop. Follow all Company, State, and Federal rules, regulations, and policies. Operate all machinery and vehicles in accordance with Ray-Carroll Coop policies and applicable laws. Understand and adhere to company employee guidelines. Process billing for Ray-Carroll products. Familiarize yourself with prepayment procedures, transfers, purchase orders, and billing processes. Maintain accurate inventory records of products. Understand and implement inventory management and measurement techniques. Gain knowledge of Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc. product operations. Perform light office cleaning duties as necessary. Utilize the Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc. computer system effectively. Conduct grain probing, grading, and truck scaling procedures as applicable. Handle direct sales of products available through Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc. Engage with customers of Ray-Carroll Coop, both in person and via phone, regarding products offered. Respond to customer inquiries related to billing and statements. Assist the location manager in maintaining records for grain, petroleum, feed, and agronomy. Ensure cleanliness and organization of displays, counters, and public areas. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Foster a positive team environment and commitment to achieving organizational goals. Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Maintain a positive demeanor towards customers and colleagues at all times. Provide respectful and attentive customer service. Report any injuries, no matter how minor, using the designated employee injury report form. Undertake other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
