Job Title: Registered Nurse - Day Surgery

Join the Detroit Medical Center team as a Registered Nurse in Day Surgery. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Day Surgery is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This includes assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
  • Document patient care and progress in the medical record
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a school of nursing required
  • BSN preferred
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan required
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required
