As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in evaluating the nutritional needs of our patients utilizing established assessment methodologies. Your responsibilities will include working with a diverse patient population, including those with complex health needs, under the guidance of senior dietetic professionals. You will conduct thorough nutritional assessments that consider age, gender, and cultural backgrounds, while also performing routine screenings to identify individuals at nutritional risk. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team will be essential to ensure comprehensive care for patients requiring specialized support, all while providing outstanding service to patients and their families.

This outpatient Clinical Dietitian role focuses on supporting transplant patients within our center, with opportunities for inpatient coverage as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop individualized nutrition intervention plans that include appropriate feeding routes and nutrition prescriptions tailored to each patient's unique requirements, in alignment with physician directives.
  • Monitor and assess patient responses to dietary interventions, ensuring measurable goals are documented accurately in the nutrition care plan.
  • Revise care plans as needed and maintain follow-up with patients to ensure ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate care and identify patients at nutritional risk or those requiring advanced interventions.
  • Work closely with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance the overall patient experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or a related field, with completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).
  • Current registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • State licensure as a Dietitian in the following states: Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Tennessee, Ohio, Kansas, Georgia, Iowa, Utah.
