Job Description

We are seeking a well-rounded Optometrist to join our team at VSP Ventures Optometric Solutions LLC in Austin. As a full-time Optometrist, you will engage in full-scope optometry, catering to patients of all age groups and diverse visual and medical conditions.

You will provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and visual and medical conditions, educate patients about their ocular health, and recommend vision-enhancing products. You can expect to see an average of 22 patients daily, working Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and versatile professional who excels within a clinical, fast-paced setting. You should be able to adapt quickly and be flexible in your current environment. You will work alongside other optometrists to deliver top-notch care.

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

  • Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
  • 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
