About the Role

The Product Owner Liaison will be responsible for coordinating development efforts using Agile methodology, working alongside the development team and stakeholders to help deploy solutions for a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) project. This role will engage with enterprise stakeholders to ensure successful project vision and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with development teams and stakeholders throughout the enterprise to facilitate Agile processes and best practices.
  • Work directly with customers and other internal groups to evaluate supporting technologies and use cases based on project needs.
  • Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and partners during the process of building solutions.
  • Implement scalable, high-performance solutions that meet the needs of the project.
  • Review work, design, and architecture, providing input on development aspects when needed.
  • Opportunity for on-the-job learning in design and implementation of solutions using latest technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • EPA background investigation eligible.
  • Demonstrated education and expertise in Agile development methodology.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development or related roles.
  • Proficiency with Agile management tools (e.g., Atlassian JIRA, Confluence).
  • Understanding of development frameworks (e.g., Spring, Struts, Hibernate).
  • Familiarity with business rules engines (e.g., Drools).
  • Experience with project management and development tools.
  • Knowledge of web technologies relevant to the project.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build trusting relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and agile environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related technical field.
  • Experience with EPA or other federal government contracts.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance information systems.
