Lead Clerk

• Assist management in maintaining a positive and welcoming store environment, focusing on customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
• Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and providing guidance to colleagues as needed.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the grocery department, ensuring a safe and efficient shopping experience for customers.
• Communicate effectively with customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with the department manager to achieve sales goals, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform various tasks, including cashiering, stocking, and receiving, as needed, to support the smooth operation of the department.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and safely in the store.
• Food handlers certification (per state laws) and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
