Position Overview:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at ITAC, you will engage in comprehensive Electrical Engineering tasks across all stages of electrical development and equipment design for projects of moderate complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently execute Electrical Engineering activities, demonstrating full competency in conventional aspects of the field.
  • Utilize independent judgment for the evaluation, selection, and significant adaptation of standard design engineering criteria, methods, and procedures.
  • Conduct layout, analysis, and design of electrical engineering scopes for industrial projects.

Documentation and Design:

  • Create detailed electrical documentation, including:
    • Electrical Equipment Specifications
    • Electrical Plan Drawings (Power, Lighting, Grounding, etc.)
    • Electrical Schematics (Single line diagrams, Motor Schematics, Interconnection diagrams, etc.)
    • Design Calculations
  • Collaborate with core design basis documentation (i.e., P&IDs, General Arrangements, Equipment List, etc.).
  • Lead a small team of designers and junior engineers.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on Electrical Engineering work conducted by others.
  • Resolve technical design conflicts efficiently.

Technical Proficiency:

Possess a strong understanding of various computer software packages and automated engineering tools to effectively manage diverse engineering assignments. Proficiency in the following software is essential:

  • AutoCAD
  • MS Excel
  • MS Word
  • SKM/ETAP Power System Analysis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • EIT certification preferred; PE certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial and/or manufacturing settings.
  • Familiarity with plant engineering is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code and 600V power distribution systems.
  • Understanding of plant infrastructure and equipment installation design.
  • Working knowledge of industrial control systems and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.

Work Environment:

This position is not currently remote, and onsite presence is required.
