Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality diagnostic procedures for patients and the department.
- Provide radiology services in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality and cost-efficient diagnostic procedures.
- Organize workflow to prevent delays and ensure efficient patient care.
- Assist physicians and other medical staff during procedures as requested or required.
- Provide excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, other medical staff, and NMMC staff members.
- Attend required in-services, annual reviews, and educational programs.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in radiology and adhere to NMHS/NMMC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Comply with applicable local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Registered or registry eligible by ARRT.
- License as required by the State of Mississippi (MRT).
- Possess strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy.
- Keep abreast of changes in radiology by attending classes and continuing education provided.
- American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Serves patient population categories of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
