Director of Human Resources

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of HR to lead our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, organizing, planning, and developing the implementation and administration of human resources functions and carrying out policies and procedures relating to all phases of human resources activities for our company's primary supporting functions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of HR Business Partners to provide human resources support for our corporate SG&A functions.
- Serve as the strategic resource for Executive Leadership on topics relating to organizational design, organizational development, job analysis, and overall business capability.
- Provide counseling and assistance to business partners in HR-related areas, including policy and procedures, benefits administration, salary administration, training, organizational development, performance management, employee relations, employee selection, and other key human resource areas.
- Serve as a change agent for HR policies, procedures, and practices, providing assistance, guidance, and input in the review and revisions of company or functional policies, procedures, and practices.
- Support the company's efforts to deploy the Woodmark culture and create a positive work environment for our employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the company's vision.
- An undergraduate degree in human resources, business, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 7 years of management experience, with a history of progressively responsible and hands-on HR experience.
- Experience in developing and administering HR programs, including recruiting, policies and procedures, employee relations, salary and benefits administration, performance management, organizational development, succession planning, training, safety, and state and federal compliance.
- Successful track record of project management and team experience.
- Knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Client Server environments.
- Excellent personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Certification through SHRM and/or HRCI is preferred.
This is an alternate work location position, and the employee will be required to work in a designated Woodmark location as well as another approved location, typically an employee's home. The workweek is generally Monday through Friday, with 3-4 days in the Corporate Office location. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required. Travel is required for specialized training, exposure to operations in the field, and building relationships with client leadership. 30% travel is expected.
