Key ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Director of Nursing for the Medical/Surgical department who will oversee the coordination and delivery of patient care for a designated patient group throughout their hospitalization. This role involves:
- Reporting to the Senior Director, Vice President, or Chief Nursing Officer.
- Maintaining full accountability for staffing, patient care management, and resource utilization in the assigned units.
- Acting as a liaison between medical staff and the nursing team, collaborating with administrators and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Identifying areas for improvement, implementing effective changes, and assessing the outcomes of these initiatives.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of three years of recent acute care nursing experience.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Applicants must hold a current RN license to practice in Texas or be eligible for a temporary license prior to employment. A Texas RN license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
